How do I buy gift cards?

Gift cards are currently available for sale at the check-in counter inside The Market. We’re working to offer gift cards for sale online in the near future.

Are there bike racks?

Yes, we have bike racks! You can find them located on the east side of the building.

Is the Market pet friendly?

Pets are (not) allowed inside The Market at Malcolm Yards but we welcome leashed and well-behaved pets on both the North & South patios.

Where do I park?

We have a parking lot on the north side of the building.

There’s another parking solution across the street. The University of Minnesota Prospect Park parking ramp is open to the public for $1 hr/ after 3pm. It’s at 390 29th Avenue SE. Enter and exit on 29th Avenue SE only.

Directions to the University of Minnesota Prospect Park ramp:

*From University Avenue, turn N onto 29^th Ave SE. Make a U turn at first stop light and parking entrance on the right.

*From 4^th Street, turn South onto 29^th Ave SE and turn Right into the parking ramp.

Do you have security on location?

Yes, we have partnered with We Push For Peace, a local nonprofit organization started by Trahern Pollard to be a resource and advocate for those in the inner city. They offer community engagement support to local businesses and in an effort to ensure the safety of all of our guests, when you visit The Market.

Do we have patios, firepits and patio heaters?

The south patio (in front of the entrance to our building) has three larger fire pits with seating. The north patio currently offers patio heaters and we’re working to install a much larger fire pit soon!

What is the 18.5% Hospitality Surcharge for?

The Market at Malcolm Yards is proud to include an 18.5% hospitality surcharge in support of our commitment to provide a professional living wage for our team members with the majority of the charge going to our kitchen vendors.

Do you take reservations?

The Market does not currently take reservations but if you are looking to book for a large party, we have private event space offering and are always happy to answer any questions you may have. Check out our private events page for more information.

Are you kid friendly?

We love kids and strive to be a family-friendly place where everyone can find something just for them. The Market features 9 culinary concepts from experienced and upcoming chefs, offering a range of distinct options and flavors.

Can I order takeout through multiple vendors?

Currently, each food vendor has their own Doordash account that you can order from but you have to order directly and cannot combine orders from multiple kitchens.

What is a Yard Card?

The Yard Card is our unique payment system, just head to the host stand where our team will check your ID and use the credit card of your choosing to start your very own Yard Card. This card is used for all your purchases throughout The Market and streamlines your experience at our vendor stalls, bar and pour wall. You will have your own and can open as many as you need on your tab for family, friends, or employees. Best of all, your purchases are all on one tab and receipt. Oh yeah, no need to ‘check out’ at the end of your visit, just drop it off on your way out and the tab will be automatically closed, and we will txt you a receipt.

What’s with the wristbands?

The wristbands are used so we know who is of age and we think they are kind of flattering.

Why do you scan ID’s?

We use a program called Vemos, it is another tool for our employees to use to help ensure alcohol compliance. We Do Not use this program to capture information to spam you, it’s just to ensure you are 21!
